New Pink Couch Session with Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids performing his track “Where Do We Go From Here”!
From the If You Make It! blog:
Matt Pryor is here to kick off a new year for the site. His new record “May Day” just came out today, so make sure to grab it! The album was released under his own label, Nightshoes Syndicate, and on Big Scary Monsters in the UK. Matt is currently on tour with Into It Over It, Chris Conley of Saves to Day and more, on the “Where’s the Band?” tour.
You can hear the whole album on Bandcamp and also buy it from iTunes.
Thanks to Lisa, Bryan, Edan, Matt and Death By Audio for having us over! This session was on my “must-have” list when I started. It’s nice to be able to cross one off finally!
Filmed a Matt Pryor ( of The Get Up Kids ) Pink Couch today! This will kick start the site back in to action this week along with a bunch of new albums and missing Pink Couches! I can also cross this PCS off my wish list!
Matt’s new album “May Day” comes out this Tuesday! He’s also on tour right now.
Thanks to Edan and Matt at Death By Audio for letting me film there and helping out with audio! Also thanks to Lisa for setting it up and Bryan for being the head gaffer.
So glad to hear from IYMI! again!
So this song may be old news, but Alt Press just included Lemuria in their feature “Under the Covers,” described below:
“Each week, we’ll pit two bands who have covered the same source material against one another, and it’s up to you to decide who comes out on top.”
This time, the cover song picked was “Alec Eiffel” by Pixies. I love this song, and The Get Up Kids version of the song, but I had never heard Lemuria’s take. Of course, it rules.
